Standard Practice for Design of Amusement Rides and Devices

Importancia y uso:

4.1 The purpose of this practice is to provide designers, engineers, manufacturers, owners, and operators with criteria and references for use in designing amusement rides and devices or a major modification for amusement rides or devices.

4.2 All relevant sections of this standard apply to the design and any design modifications of an amusement ride or device. It is permissible to exclude non-relevant sections of this standard.

Note 1: As an example, if an amusement ride does not have any pneumatic systems or components, Section 10 would not be relevant and could be excluded. If the example amusement ride was modified to include pneumatic systems or components, Section 10 would be relevant and no longer could be excluded.

4.3 It is acceptable for other ASTM standards under the jurisdiction of committee F24 to reference this standard in its entirety or to exclusively reference specific sections within the standard.
